Cookie Table

Tradition

The cookie table is an old Pittsburgh wedding tradition where the bride and groom's families bake cookies for the wedding reception. In a sense it is a gesture that signifies approval and support of the union. The cookies are on display at the wedding and great fuel to dance the night away, and don't forget to fill a bag for later too!

Our Wedding

We would love to continue this tradition. Many of our family and friends are not native to the area and may not know about the cookie table. We invite any family/friends to participate in this tradition by baking cookies for the wedding. If you have a great recipe, or just want to contribute, we welcome and appreciate your offering. If possible, sending an email to perry.mich@gmail.com with the amount that you will provide will help us make sure we have enough cookies for everyone.
