• r8_agm.R, returns the arithmetic-geometric mean of an R8;
• r8_cube_root.R, returns the cube root of an R8;
• r8_sigmoid.R, evaluates the sigmoid or logistic function;
• r8_softplus.R, evaluates the "soft plus" function, a smoothed version of f(x)=max(x,0.0).
• r8_wrap.R, forces a value r to lie between rlo and rhi, using wrapping.
