Before the Exam
1. Know exactly what the exam is to cover. This information is on your syllabus or on the web page under the Exam 1, 2, 3, or Final exam.
2. Do practice problems. Analyze your errors on these problems. What do you need to do to correct them? Learn the correct formulas and work more carefully.
3. Form a study group. Try to make up some problems to solve. What directions would be appropriate for a given problem? How else could a question be asked?
4. Use one of the practice exams for a "dress rehearsal". 75 minute time limit, no books, notes, calculator or other help.
5. Review your notes, note cards and study questions.
6. Attend a review session. The instructor, date, time and place can be found on the Math 22 web page under the appropriate exam.
7. Know exactly when and where your exam is to be held. This information can be found on the Math 22 web page under the appropriate exam.
8. Get there early with pencils, photo ID and anything else you might need.
9. Don't study right up until the start of the exam.
10. Try to be reasonably rested, not starving and comfortably dressed.
