In the supposedly horseless movie Monty Python and the Holy
Grail, a scene occurs in which a "noted historian" (so
identified by a subtitle
on the screen) presents an analysis of Arthur's actions after being
repulsed by the French. After a few sentences of this speech, there
is the sound of hooves, a knight comes by with a sword and strikes him
dead while mounted on a horse.
