euler_code describes a project for our students to demonstrate their programming strengths, by writing a MATLAB program that implements the forward Euler method for approximating the solution of a differential equation.

Matlab:

• euler.m, a version of an Euler code.
• euler_test.m, a script to test the Euler code with the hump_deriv function.
• hump_deriv.m, a function which defines the derivative associated with an ODE.
