LSC_2015 is the home page for the class ISC4932, "Libraries for Scientific Computing", Senior Seminar in Scientific Computing, an undergraduate seminar class offered by the Department of Scientific Computing at Florida State University, Fall Session 2015.

This is a 1-credit seminar class, intended to introduce the students to ideas, algorithms, and programs common to Scientific Computing. The topic this semester will be numerical linear algebra.

This class is intended to familiarize the students with the use of library software to solve problems in scientific computing. Each week, a model problem will be introduced. Then we will look through various software libraries in various languages, choose a few solution algorithms that seem appropriate, and carry out the steps necessary to solve the problem with the given tool.
