This research includes the development of predictive capabilities for turbulent flow simulation using high-order numerical methods. Outcome is predicted to leverage fundamental mathematics, numerical analysis, and fluid mechanics expertise. Position Requirements Doctorate and 0 years work experience Comprehensive expertise in one of C/C++/Fortran is required. Considerable knowledge in one or more of the following areas is desired: mathematical models for partial differential equations, high-order numerical methods, algorithmic solvers, fluid mechanics. Good collaborative skills, including the ability to work well with other laboratories and universities. Good self-motivation to solve problems and grow professionally. Good written and oral communication skills. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in computer science or a related discipline with expertise in parallel computing and message passing.
