Position Description

The Postdoctoral Appointee – Fluid Dynamics will work as part of a 
multidisciplinary research team involving mathematicians, computer scientists, 
and computational fluid dynamicists as part of the thermal hydraulics 
development team under the Nuclear Energy Advanced Modeling and Simulation 
program. This research includes the development of predictive capabilities for 
turbulent flow simulation using high-order numerical methods. Outcome is 
predicted to leverage fundamental mathematics, numerical analysis, and fluid 
mechanics expertise.

Position Requirements

    Doctorate and 0 years work experience
    Comprehensive expertise in one of C/C++/Fortran is required.
    Considerable knowledge in one or more of the following areas is desired: 
    mathematical models for partial differential equations, high-order 
    numerical methods, algorithmic solvers, fluid mechanics.
    Good collaborative skills, including the ability to work well with other 
    laboratories and universities.
    Good self-motivation to solve problems and grow professionally.
    Good written and oral communication skills.
    Candidates should have a Ph.D. in computer science or a related discipline 
    with expertise in parallel computing and message passing.
    Candidates should have the ability to create, maintain, and support high-quality software.
