I am a Graduate Assistant in the Department of Scientific Computing (DSC) at Florida State University (FSU). I am a graduate student in the new degree program for Computational Science under the direction of Max Gunzburger. You can find information about Max's mathematical genealogy. My Ph.D advisor is Tomasz Plewa. My research interests include, Numerical Partial Differential Equations, Parallel Algorithms, Performance Analysis of Parallel Algorithms, Verification and Validation, and Applied Computational Mathematics in general.
I received an M.S. degree in Computational Science from Florida State University (FSU) in 2008. I received a B.A. in Mathematics and a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of North Florida (UNF) in 2005. From 2000 to 2005, I worked at the Florida Community College of Jacksonville (FCCJ) as an advisor in the mathematics tutoring center and an adjunct instructor. I worked as a Research Assistant and as a Teaching Assistant at FSU from 2006 to present. During the summer of 2008 I worked as an intern at Sandia National Laboratories working on convergence verification of peridynamic simulations implemented within their LAMMPS code.

My primary interest outside of academics is music. I study the Mandolin and love exploring all kinds of music from all over the world. I enjoy playing Acoustic Mandolins , Electric Mandolins , and Mandocello's. I also, have a small home studio and enjoy recording, engineering, and producing all kinds of music. My favorite styles include, Jazz, Fusion, Latin, Calypso, Reggae, Funk/Soul, Real-Hip-Hop, Blues, Bluegrass, and Folk music. You can hear some of my music here.
