Parallel Matlab Posters for SIAM Annual Meeting, Denver, 2009

During the SIAM Annual Meeting in Denver, 06-10 July 2009, several posters were displayed in the MathWorks booth, illustrating our experiences with parallel MATLAB on a number of algorithms.

The MD Poster

MD_POSTER is a set of slides used to create a poster about the use of parallel MATLAB on the MD or "molecular dynamics" problem.

• md_slides.tex, the LaTeX source for the slides;
• md_slides.pdf, a PDF version of the slides.
• md_poster.tex, the LaTeX source for the poster;
• md_poster.pdf, a PDF version of the poster.
• md_config.pdf, a PDF file which suggests the arrangment of molecules in a 3D space.
• md_potential.pdf, a PDF file which displays the form of the Lennart-Jones inter-molecular force function.
• md_timing.pdf, a PDF file which displays the performance of the parallel version of the code.

The OPT Poster

OPT_POSTER is a set of slides used to create a poster about the use of parallel MATLAB on the OPT or "optimization" problem.

• opt_poster.tex, the LaTeX source for the poster;
• opt_poster.pdf, a PDF version of the poster.

SAT_POSTER is a set of slides used to create a poster about the use of parallel MATLAB on the SAT or "satisfiability" problem.

• sat_slides.tex, the LaTeX source for the slides;
• sat_slides.pdf, a PDF version of the slides.
• sat_poster.tex, the LaTeX source for the poster;
• sat_poster.pdf, a PDF version of the poster.
• sat_circuit.png, a PNG file which depicts a simple logical formula using electronic circuitry symbols.
• sat_timing.pdf, a PDF file which displays the performance of the parallel version of the code.
