VLA Files

These are some examples of VLA files. The VLA format is used by the Evans and Sutherland Digistar II Planetarium projection system.

VLA File characteristics:

• ASCII
• black and white only!
• 3D, but only lines! (no surfaces)
• No compression
• 1 image

Programs to convert a VLA format to another format:

• IVREAD
• IVCON
